Library NewsSeptember, 2007We April, 2007Our research has continued this month. 1-2 students are finishing up their research. During this project they practised the skills of finding information in pictures, taking notes, and organizing their notes into categories. From their notes they are writing research reports. We have also introduced some mapping activities. Students in Grades 5-6 are finishing up their reading of Dorothy Canfield Fisher books in preparation for voting in the first week of April. Anyone in Grade 4-6 who has read at least 5 DCF books from this year's list, is eligible to vote. Click here for more information about this statewide program. Many children have overdue books and materials out of the library. Please look at home to find missing materials. We will be sending overdue notices home soon, so that you can search during our April vacation.Annie Watson, Librarian Top of PageLibrary HoursThe Library is open from 7:45 to 3:15 p.m. on all days that school is in session. All members of the school community, including students, parents, school volunteers, teachers, and staff, as well as homeschoolers and parents of pre-school children, are welcome to use and borrow from the library.
