Regional Meeting on Thursday January 29, 2009

Please join us ... The second meeting of the Vita-Learn Southeast region will take place on Thursday January 29th at 2:30 in Springfield, VT.  The meeting will be held in the River Valley Technical Center (the Howard Dean Educational Center) in the UVM Room E-207 and will be hosted by Doug Holcomb, Director of Informational Technology for the Springfield School District.

This meeting will continue our focus this year on Web 2.0 tools and will include presentations on those tools, including SmartBoard technology and Jing.  We will also have an update from Peter Drescher on important state initiatives including the new state technology plan and district tech plan requirements. All technology directors and tech integrationists in our area are welcome.  This year we also have hoped to expand our meeting topics to include points of interest for classroom teachers, so would you please consider inviting teachers in your district to attend, even if they join us a bit later, after school lets out.  The web 2.0 presentation will begin later in the meeting.

We're working on LNV details to attend the meeting virtually, and I will try to get out more information out on that topic later in the week.

Refreshments will be served and as with our first meeting, our door prize will be an iPod touch.
