Lunch, Introductions & Agenda overview
Ed Barry started the meeting with Introductions. Twelve (12) people were in attendance

Sharing - What's new/interesting in your school/SU?
Everyone shared different projects they were working. Some people found that they were working on similar projects and that they might use each other as a resource.

Ed reviewed what Vtcite was and discussed the goal of trying to connect information technology people both virtually through Vtcite and in person at regional meetings. Ed gave a brief history of Vtcite

State of the State – Peter Drescher
Peter talked about a variety of topics including the Vermont Transformation initiative, Vtcite project, Microsoft settlement, and the LNV.

VITA-Learn & New England ISTE Consortium: New Opportunities – Neil Manders
Neil made a brief presentation on how VITA-Learn is connected to ISTE through the NEISTE. He also talked about the connection to Maine’s organization ACTEM. More information on purchasing software at discount prices can be found at the VITA-Learn homepage http://homepage.vita-learn.org

Future Meetings & Agendas
The group agreed that they would like to meet twice next year; once in October and again in mid-March. They would like VITA-Learn’s support in organizing and facilitating the meetings.
