Meeting Minutes

Date: December 4, 2007 – Tuesday Meeting
Location: Glover Community School & Barton Graded School
Time: 4 pm – 6 pm
Present: GLOVER site – Peter Drescher, Jerry Piette, Rick Mallen, Barry Waldner, John Morris
BARTON site – Barb Hobbs, Jeff Coburn
1. Discussion on the history of the RUSS grant that initiated the purchase and placement of the TANDBERG Systems in each school within OCSU.

2. Discussion and planning of getting the latest firmware needed to create connections outside the OCSU region. Also, a look into the warranty of the equipment needs to be reviewed to determine support services expected from vendors

3. It was agreed that some of the technical issues need to be resolved which will allow smoother running “sessions” where dropped lines become less frequent. Without resolving this issue, the frustration level may rise for novice teachers and deter them from further use.

4. The BRIDGE in Montpelier may be an option to allow more than 2-way communication among schools.

5. Before Christmas break, a meeting through video conferencing, will take place with updates on the warranty, hardware support, and bridging issues.
Dec. 20th – Thurs – 4 pm is the planned date to do this.
